Lucknow recorded 38.9 degrees Celsius, a degree higher than Sunday and six degrees above normal. Gorakhpur recorded 38.2 degrees Celsius and Bareilly 36.9 degrees Celsius. Maximum temperatures in most places in the state ranged between 36-40 degrees Celsius.
