In a new development the government has earmarked Rs 500 crores more for ongoing projects.

The irony is the government has money to waste on showcasing dalit icons but has no money for Bundelkhand and 40 districts of eastern UP, which got merely Rs 10 crore and Rs. 50 crores respectively

Indian Railways Facing a Huge Loss Due to MNREGA

MNREGA, an ambitious project from UPA, which provides working opportunity for rural youth, is proving a nightmare for Indian railways.

Every year Indian Railways receive huge revenue from migrating laborers from eastern UP and Bihar who travel to areas like Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan in search of work.

Now when the rural youths are finding work easily at their own locality from MNREGA, migration has come down to the tune of 50%.

Indian railways saw a slump in business on the routes where labor movement has come down considerably like the east UP districts of Balia, Ghazipur, Bahraich, Basti, Gorakhpur, Gonda towards Mumbai, Delhi, Ambala, Ahmedabad, Vadodara etc.

It is really a good news for the government which would be really happy on the success of their scheme.
