Special Trains to Clear Extra Rush during Festivals

Indian Railways has decided to run some extra special trains to clear the rush during the festival season of Deepawali. Thousands of passenger travel to their native place during deewali and chatt festival and the railways department has decided to run some extra trains in order to clear the extra passenger rush during the same.

The Special Trains:

  1. 0129/0130 Mumbai CST-Gorakhpur-Mumbai CST special
  2. 0145/0146 Mumbai CST-Lucknow-Mumbai CST special
  3. 0151/0152 Lokmanya Tilak (T) – Gorakhpur-Lokmanya Tilak (T)
  4. 0155/0156 Lokmanya Tilak (T)-Lucknow-Lokmanya Tilak (T)

0157/0158 Lokmanya Tilak (T)-Muzaffarpur-Lokmanya Tilak (T)
0129/0130: Train no. 0129 Mumbai CST-Gorakhpur special train will depart from Mumbai CST on every Monday from November 8 to 22 (3 trips) at 1.30 pm (noon) to reach Gorakhpur at 11.15 pm the next day. While in the return direction, 01:30 will depart from Gorakhpur on every Wednesday at 4.25 am to reach Mumbai CST at 2.40 pm the next day.

Stoppages: Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nasik Road, Manmad, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Bhopal, Lalitpur, Jhansi, Orai, Pokhrayan, Kanpur, Lucknow, Gonda and Basti.
0145/0146: Train no. 0145 Mumbai CST-Lucknow special will depart from Mumbai CST on every Friday on November 5, 12 and 19 (3 trips) at 1.30 pm (noon) to reach Lucknow at 2.55 pm the next day. While in the return direction, 0146 will depart from Lucknow on every Saturday on November 6, 13 and 20 at 08.00 pm to reach Mumbai CST at 11.55 pm the next day.

0155/0156: Train no. 0155 Lokmanya Tilak (T)-Lucknow special will depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus on every Tuesday on October 26 and November 2, 9 and 16 (4 trips) at 12.25 pm (noon) to reach Lucknow at 4.25 pm the next day. While in the return direction, 0156 will depart from Lucknow on every Wednesday at 08.00 pm to reach Lokmanya Tilak (T) at 11.45 pm the next day.

A Separate Force for Managing & Maintaining Memorials in UP

The Memorial Maintenance Force will Have around 6500 personals ranging from Managers to Class IV employees

It is interesting to know that Uttar Pradesh is all set to raise a force of around 6500 personals for maintaining and managing all dalit memorials in the State, which will be a heavy burden for State’s Exchequer; but still waiting for funds from Central government for helping people who have suffered a huge loss in this season of heavy monsoon, many of them have lost all of their belongings including their homes.

It matters but it is also good news for unemployed youths of the state for whom this is a great opportunity as the Government has taken decision to make the entire job permanent including the Chief of the force to the lowest level Class IV employee.

According to the information the force will be headed by a Chief Manager holding an MBA degree with an experience of 15 years in management, the force will include engineers, other officials and a pool of class IV employees.

The recruitment would be done by “Management, Security and Maintenance Samiti for Memorials” which will function under the housing department which would have dedicated funds for salaries, expenses etc.

The notification issued on 25th September however said that number of seats may change as per need. The notification also made it clear that the dedicated staff for the upkeep of memorials would all be permanent employee, ranging from a chief manager to a gateman and will have pay scales and allowances as per grade.

A chief manager in this case would be the overall in charge for the maintenance of the memorials.

The website was inaugurated by general manager of NR, S K Budhalakoti, on Tuesday. The GM was in the city to participate in the annual general body meeting of northern railway union. The GM also inspected Alamnagar station. He reviewed the ongoing construction work at the station and took stock of the passenger amenities.

Janmashtami programme Celebration by ISKON

International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKON) has organized a grand programme on the occasion of Janmashtami at Ravindralaya on September 2 from 7 pm. The devotees of Lord Krishna will organize bhajan sandhya, a play on Krishna Leela followed by distribution of ‘prasad’. 1/11 Gorkha Rifles Golden jubilee celebrations

The two-day event got off to a flying start on Tuesday morning with Central Mandir for serving and retired ranks followed by golden jubilee mela in which various competitions were organized. Government Declared September 3 as Public holiday

Government has declared the last Friday of Ramzan (Jumat-ul Vida) on September 3 as a public holiday. Earlier, the department of general administration had declared the last Friday falling on September 10 as a public holiday, informs special secretary, department of general administration PN Yadav.

Helpline to Stop Ragging

District Administration has started a 24 hour operational helpline for reporting against ragging. Students as well as their parents can lodge complaints regarding to ragging on this helpline, the number is 0522-2623024.

The helpline will cover all the educational institutions in Lucknow.

Besides using this helpline, cases can also be lodged with the head of the institute, where they will probe the case within 7 days and if the case find genuine, the concerned police station will be informed. Ragging cases within college premises and outside can be lodged and anyone found guilty will be fined Rs. 10000 with/without two years imprisonment.

Accused student can appeal within 30 days. Divisional commissioner will be the prescribed officer for secondary education level and V-C for degree colleges and university.

You are wrong here; we are talking about Ahmed alias Pappu, the one and only man in the dog catching squad of Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC), who has a big target of catching around 50000 stray dogs on the streets of the city.

Good News for UP Haj Pilgrims

Haj pilgrims now have some reason to cheer up because now they can have direct flight to Jeddah from Varanasi. Actually this proposal was overdue with the external affairs ministry.

The request by the Chairman of UP Haj Committee Mr. Naseemuddin Siddiqui has been finally accepted by the Ministry and now the pilgrims will not have to waste 20 to 25 hours in traveling from Varanasi to Delhi and then from Delhi to Saudi Arabia.

So now for Haj – 2010 pilgrims can have direct flight from Varanasi to Jeddah

Mayawati earmarks 500cr more for memorials

Despite all lasing from courts and various parties, it seems that the CM of Uttar Pradesh is biased to complete their projects related to dalit icons.

In a new development the government has earmarked Rs 500 crores more for ongoing projects.

The irony is the government has money to waste on showcasing dalit icons but has no money for Bundelkhand and 40 districts of eastern UP, which got merely Rs 10 crore and Rs. 50 crores respectively
